Actions Speak Louder Than Words

When I’d misbehave as a kid and tell my mom I was sorry, she would often say,
“𝘐 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘢𝘱𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺—𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘦. 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘴.”

It took me a long time to understand just how powerful that message is. bell hooks so beautifully captures this point with her quote.
𝗪𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

It’s easy to talk about values.
It’s harder—and far more powerful—to live them.

Especially in leadership, where your actions echo louder than your words.

I seek to carry this belief through my life and into every coaching engagement. Coaching isn’t just a conversation—it’s an action. It’s an intentional commitment to grow, reflect, and align who you are with how you lead.
